Organisers of the 28th Fenman Classic Bike Show could breathe a sigh of relief as glorious sunshine bought the crowds out.
Stuie Cooper, on the organising committee for the event at Wimbotsham, said the past two years had been rainy days and they 'needed sun' this year.
He said more than £110,000 had been raised for local charities over the 28 years the event had been running and they would wait to find out how much they raised this year before deciding where the funds should go.
The committee member added some of the bikes dated back to the 1930s, through to the 1940s and 1980s.
Mr Cooper, 45, said: 'It's been absolutely fantastic. We had 189 bikes in the show this year which is one of the best years ever. There's been more people than any other year, at least 4,000 to 5,000. The weather's been absolutely gorgeous all day.
'We have had individuals, families, youngsters, all the generations. It's been a mixed group of everyone.'
He added the show had 'grown and grown' but they had still managed to keep it in the village.
