An award-winning Pan Asian eatery with cool lighting, a funky bar, and presentation that takes Chinese food to the next level.
Think thin pastried gyoza stuffed with chicken and cabbage, soft shell crab fried with chilli and curry leaf, Alaskan cod, sticky with miso, and scallop with asparagus and cloud ear.
They make the best sweet and sour pork around, using organic pork. And nothing is greasy, over-fried or over-salted.

Shiki Japanese Restaurant, Norwich
Fans of sushi will love this restaurant in Tombland specialising in Japanese cuisine. In order to help customers have the best dining experience possible, the eatery's menu is made up of Otsumami, which are not too substantial but shareable dishes so that everyone can try a bit of everything. Best sellers include Bento Boxes (set meals served in lacquered boxes) which can include everything from miso soup to Katsu Curry, as well as the restaurant's signature dish Sushi Lover made up of assorted sushi and sashimi.
Thai Pavilion, Sudbury
A small, family-run restaurant serving real Thai food. It's not fancy. There are no frills. But diners travel here for the fab food – including a three-course set lunch at under a tenner.
As well as familiar friends such as satay, red, yellow and green curries, there are specialities you might not have had before. Such as the famous Thai curry puff. Or a sinus-flaring hot jungle-style curry. A recommendation is the Yum Neau. This salad of roasted minced beef with chillies and a dressing of lime, fish sauce, chilli and garlic alights all the senses, being salty, spicy, sweet, acidic and savoury, all at once.

Singtong Thai, Diss
A quiet retreat to head out to for a great weeknight meal or a popular spot for a Friday night takeaway this family run restaurant on St Nicholas Street in Diss. Tasty items on the menu to sink your teeth into include Chilli Beef the spiciness of which can be altered to suit your preferences, Tempura vegetables and Pad Thai. Make sure to also get yourself some of the spicy prawn crackers - you won't regret it!
Ciscoe's Pan Asian and Sushi, Norwich
Francisco 'Cisco' Papica went straight from school in the Philippines to work as a porter in a busy kitchen, fascinated by what the chefs were creating around him he went on to gain crucial hands-on experience producing culinary delights from across the Far East. His travels eventually brought him to Europe where he was talented spotted by entrepreneur Ian Cooke and together they opened Ciscoe's Pan Asian. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes from simple street food to sushi and teppanyaki.
Khobkhun Thai Restaurant, Newmarket
A cut above. This is more refined Thai food, served with careful presentation and freshly made – so the chefs can adapt heat to your liking.
Try out the chicken wings stuffed with minced pork, mushrooms and Thai herbs, Thai sausages, or duck roasted with honey and cooked with sesame seeds in Thai whiskey sauce. Another favourite is the potato, stir fried with cashews and onion with chilli in oyster sauce.
On Sunday there's an all you can eat menu at £15.99 for adults and £9.99 for children filled with more familiar favourites such as satay, duck rolls, crispy squid and chicken in cashew nuts.

The Manor House, Wortham
Formerly The Dolphin Inn, the pub was renamed The Manor House in 2015 and introduced a Thai menu with food available to eat in or take away. Situated opposite the large village green, the restaurant also offers traditional English dishes such as steaks and burgers, but dishes to try include Pad Prew Warn (a vegetable sweet and sour dish) and Nasi Goreng, made with stir fried rice, tiger prawns, chicken, peppers, carrot, onion, spices, soy sauce and crispy shallots.
Mings, Bury St Edmunds
If you're lucky enough to get a downstairs table at this busy restaurant you can watch the chef preparing and cooking everything in the open kitchen. There's a smaller menu than you'll see in other Chinese spots, but all dishes are genuinely cooked to order here, coming directly hot to the table as they're ready (so you might not get everything at the same time).
The best time to go is lunchtime when you can work your way through the dim sum of char sui buns, minced prawn dumplings and more. A recommendation from the main menu is the Szechuan minced pork. It's super hot, but the combination of pork, umami chilli bean sauce and French beans is undeniably good. Prices are reasonable too. The above dish, served with rice, is only £10.50 and a very generous portion.
