A Norfolk farm celebrated the fourth victory in a row as their star heifer secured the supreme beef champion title at the Royal Norfolk Show.
Paul Barwood and Anita Padfield, who keep a herd of Limousin cattle at Fleggburgh near Great Yarmouth, won the interbreed breed title with their three-year-old heifer Burnbank Jenny, with calf at foot.
It follows similar successes at the Suffolk, South of England and Lincoln Shows – but Ms Padfield said the victory in their home county was the most special.
'To win your local show is amazing,' she said. 'This is four in a row, but the Norfolk Show is the one we really wanted to win.
'She has got such presence, and she loves showing. She just sparkles'
Judge Richard Rettie from Alloa in Scotland said the winner was a 'fantastic animal, which paraded very well with a nice calf at foot, and is a great representative of the breed.'
