Happisburgh Primary School's friends group raised £750 to pay for Kalpesh Zalavadiya from London-based K'z Dance Entertainment to teach around 90 children - as well as parents and staff - the basics of Bollywood dance.

Some of the youngsters wore bright clothes to help get into the spirit of the beat-based and rhythmic music made famous by India's booming film industry.

Kate Mejri, the school's head, said: 'They've been learning dance moves and also about Indian culture. We really feel that's important for the children, to learn about other cultures.'

One pupil, Amber Jefferies, nine, said: 'It's really fun and tiring.'

Classmate Nathan Gilbert, also nine, said: 'We've learned about the Holi festival, where they decorate each other and throw coloured powder.'
