As the weather gets warmer and Pimm's o'clock rolls around, why not head to one of these Norwich pubs to soak up the sun in their great beer gardens.
1. The River Garden
Sitting on the banks of the River Yare this pub is aptly named and offers exactly what the name suggests; a spacious garden with a delightful view of the river running alongside it. Don't fancy driving? This pub even goes so far as to offer mooring for those travelling by boat. The menu offers well versed traditional British pub food from produce that is sourced locally as well as a constantly diverse array of ales and other beverages.
2. The Plough
Located in the city centre The Plough also offers one of the most spacious gardens to be found in the area. They have a rich tapestry of beers, spirits, and wines on offer including some sourced from the local brewery Grain. The menu on offer offers a refined take on classic staples like burgers and pies. You can also bring your best friend as the pub is dog friendly.
3. The Angel Gardens
Found on Angel road this pub offers a seating area both out front and back with the garden located at the back with children's play equipment offered too. The Angel offers a robust selection of traditional pub food as well as a wide menu of beverages; some constantly changing and some fixed.
4. The Garden House
The Garden House makes the claim to have 'the biggest beer garden' in Norwich; attributing their name to this feat. 5. The Belgian Monk
This pub offers a rich history and stands out with its Belgian themed presentation and menu. A huge and rich range of food is on offer with pub classics, Belgian classics, sea food and vegan dishes all on the menu. The pub also offers a selection of 45 beers as a well as a mobile bar that can be hired for functions.
6. The Eagle
The Eagle offers highly refined pub food with a range of dietary options catered for, as well as a dog friendly menu for your canine friends and unique cold brewed coffee. The pub also boosts some of the friendliest customer service around as well as a pleasant beer garden which is also child friendly.
7. Wig and Pen
The Wig and Pen offers brilliant city dining with fresh, fast and affordable British cuisine. The menu offered here is comprehensive and combines traditional and modern dishes alike with a range of six highly accredited ales and a good selection of wine. Notably the menu changes monthly and the pub also offers food themed around different countries.
8. The Georgian Townhouse
This establishment prides itself on being a 'hidden city oasis' where customers can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The impressive Georgian architecture is combined with a walled beer garden, seasonal menus and a wide variety of craft beers, wines and spirits.
