There were traffic delays today on the Suffolk stretch of the A140 after a multi-vehicle crash in which two women were hurt.
The accident happened at about 8.30am at Thwaite, near Eye, blocking the northbound carriageway of the road, and involved two Ford transit vans, a Peugeot, a Vauxhall Corsa and another car.
Fire crews from Eye and Debenham were sent together with a rescue tender from Ipswich.
The two women were released from their vehicles at 9.41am and taken by ambulance to the Ipswich Hospital suffering from neck and chest pains. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.
The road was re-opened to two-way traffic at 9.57am.
A controversial maximum 50mph speed limit was introduced in December on the A140 in Suffolk in a move to improve safety, and reduce the number of accidents.
