VENES MELANIE Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 25th, aged 72 years. A loving wife, friend to many and an inspiration to weavers and textile makers across the UK. Her funeral service is to take place at Mintlyn Crematorium on Thursday, May 16th at 10.45 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to Norfolk Hospice: Tapping House, Macmillan Cancer Support Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Pancreatic Cancer UK may be made at the service. All enquiries to Central Co-Op Funeral, 71 Westgate, Hunstanton, PE36 5EP.

Dearest Melanie, Thank you very much for giving me vast wisdom and bottomless kindness. You were not just my weaving teacher to me, you were my life coach. You taught me these things through weaving: anything is possible, anything can be mendable and fixable, be resourceful, look for the positive side constantly in any situation.....
