HARVEY JOAN MARGARET Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. Aged 89 years. A much-loved Mum, Sister, Auntie, Nanna and Nanny-Joan. A funeral service will be held at Earlham Crematorium on Friday, September 1st, 2023, at 10.30 a.m. Flowers or Donations in memory of Joan, if desired, are welcome. Donations may be made either online at www.stroke.org.uk or cheques made payable to the charity (Stroke Association) can be sent to R. J. Bartram & Son, 42 Fairland Street, Wymondham, NR18 0JS.Tributes

I remember first meeting Joan in January 1945 on the first day of grammar school in Ramsgate. The rest of the school had just returned from evacuation in Stafford. The freezing weather had burst the pipes so we were all sent home again!
We became firm friends, travelling on the train together to school each day. Happy days.
Despite living in different parts of the country, we kept in touch over the years, sharing news about our lives and families.
I was very sorry to hear that Joan had passed away. My love to the family.
