Roger Henry Hambling

HAMBLING ROGER HENRY Formerly of Swanton Abbott, passed away peacefully on the March 15th, 2023, in Yorkshire, aged 86. Beloved father to Peter, grandfather to Rory and Henry, brother to Anne and Maggi. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Cremation will take place at Maple Park, Yorkshire at 1 p.m. on April 3rd, 2023. There will be a memorial service at Westwick Church, Norfolk at 2 p.m. on April 25th, 2023. Hi Peter and family, we have only just heard the news of Rogers passing. Eamonn[was Brendan's brother] and I used to visit once or more a year and he came to us as well, had great fun with him down the years. Roger and his mate Gordy teaching me how to make sloe gin, they both had a different opinion. Eamonn playing golf with his buddies while Roger and I went to see the wild geece and trips down the Norfolk Broads. Such lovely memories. When he moved he did not give his address I did try to trace you all without any luck. Like Chris said thanks for the lovely memories RIP Roger. Love Vivienne and Eamonn Shiels

Roger was the best friend of my late husband Brendan Shiels. I have only just heard the sad news. We knew him from our 20’s, and I last saw hjm 8 years ago, at my brother-in- law’s party. When he left his address, he didn’t leave a forwarding address, and I wasn’t able to contact him. RIP Roger and thanks for the happy memories.
