HAYCOCKS JOY Peacefully at home on February 27th, 2023, aged 80 years. Loving wife of Jack (deceased). Dearly loved mum of Matthew and Jenny and a much loved sister. Special grannie to Amelia, Noah and Sam. Joy was a teacher at Aylsham's Bure Valley School for 27 years and continued to coach netball for a further 20 years in Aylsham Netball Club that she had formed. Amongst other community projects, promoting physical activity for our young people, Joy was one of the founding members of the Aylsham Sport and Leisure committee who played a key role in bringing about Aylsham Sports Hub. She was very well loved by many of her students and maintained contact with them as they progressed through life. There will be a service to celebrate Joy's life, of community engagement in the town that she loved so much - at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Aylsham - on Friday, March 31st, 2023, at 3 p.m. Family flowers only please, however donations for 'Norwich City Community Sports Foundation' would be welcomed and may be given online at www.ivanfisher.co.uk or sent care of Ivan Fisher Independent Funeral Home, The Old Bank, 2-4 Norwich Road, Aylsham, Norwich, Norfolk, NR11 6BN. Informal, relaxed dress is welcomed by the family.
