Staff at a multisport store in Dereham have been left "devastated" by a burglary.

Two people forced their way inside Triharder, in Greens Road, at around 2.30am on Sunday, May 12 and four bikes were stolen.

The haul included a custom blue Orbea bicycle - a brand which could retail for up to £6,000.

Triharder was established in 2012 and offers swimming, cycling and running gear for triathlons.

Its expert team has created a strong athletic community which they say has been a huge support system since the theft.

A spokesman for the store said: "We are absolutely devastated to say the shop was broken into.

"Four bikes have been stolen - they were taken up onto the A47 around 2am.

"If anybody has any dash cam footage or saw anything parked unusually please get in touch.

"The break-in has been truly horrible but equally the support from friends, family and customers has been humbling."

He confirmed that no customers' bikes were taken or damaged and said the shop's security measures would be improved to prevent a repeat incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Norfolk Constabulary.
