A huge new GP practice that already has 17,000 registered patients has opened its doors.

The new St James Medical Practice in King's Lynn comes after a nine-year campaign to upsize to cope with the patient list size increase within the coming years.

The surgery has moved from County Court Road to Edward Benefer Way into a building that will be able to handle the population growth, which expects the patient list to soon stand at 20,000.

A spokesman for St James Medical Practice said: “We are delighted to be able to move into our new accommodation enabling the practice to provide improved services to our patients and handle the increased demand on our services.

"It’s a wonderful new building for us and we cannot wait to see what our patients think.”
