The trial of two men accused of attempted murder following a near fatal knife attack in Norwich are due to stand trial later this summer.
Tyrell Chester, 21, and Enock Kitopi, 22, have both been charged following an incident in Silver Road when two men, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were attacked with weapons, including a machete.
The victims, who are in their 20s, suffered injuries in the near fatal attack on September 18, 2022.
Chester, of Heathgate, Norwich, and Kitopi, of Geoffrey Watling Way, Norwich, were originally due to stand trial on July 22 having both denied two counts of attempted murder and two counts of wounding with intent.
But the case was back before Norwich Crown Court last week when the trial date was changed to July 29.
There will be a further case management hearing on June 4.
Both defendants also denied having an article with a blade or point, namely a machete, in Silver Road on September 18, 2022.
Kitopi also denied two further charges of witness intimidation and having an article with a blade or point in St John's Alley, Norwich on January 23 last year.
