A new Norfolk business has been lauded as a "breath of fresh air" with its recent successful opening.

Limehouse Art Gallery, located in Stalham's high street, launched last month with seven independent galleries and a range of "affordable" artworks.

Gary Limehouse, the gallery curator, has worked with 15 local artists to bring a collection "for all tastes" to the town and showcase works which include pet portraits, glassware, pottery and paintings of various mediums such as watercolour and acrylic.

He said: "The art on sale is of excellent quality and varies enormously in style and will appeal to a vast range of people and budgets.

"Since opening, the footfall and sales are increasing week on week and we are hugely grateful to residents supporting this venture as all of the artists work extremely hard.

"The local community have been extremely supportive and said the gallery is a 'breath of fresh air' to the high street."

As well as the works on display, many of the Limehouse artists accept commissions to make more personalised art.

The gallery is open from 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Saturday and will take part in the upcoming Stalham Yuletide Market.
