Moritz Leitner is over his Championship culture shock - and loving every minute at Carrow Road.

The former Borussia Dortmund double winner has shown glimpses of his class since a loan switch from Bundesliga club FC Augsburg, but the heavy workload in England has taken a toll.

'I didn't play so much in Germany over the last few months but I know my body and I have a good level of fitness,' he said, in an excerpt from the matchday programme for Nottingham Forest's visit on Tuesday produced on the club's website.

'We've recently had three games in six days and I played every 90 minutes and I ran a lot. So it was not so easy but I think for every player it's hard to play three games in six days.

'But I prefer this than training. I love playing football. Sometimes the body has to do a lot of regeneration but if you help it get fit, you can play every game.

'After every game and after training, I'm always in the ice baths. I stay in there a long time, it's not a nice feeling but after that, your body says thank you.

'I'm really happy. I have a nice apartment and until now everything has been easy for me because everyone has helped me.

'If I have some small problems, everybody does everything to help me so I feel very comfortable. My team mates and staff are very nice.

'I can't say anything terrible about Norwich or about the club because it's really nice and I'm very happy to be here.

'What's really nice here is that you can be who you are and everybody respects that.'
