A fitness fanatic is taking on the 2017 London Marathon for a heart research charity following a health scare.
Beverley Sneeezum, 49, from Norwich, is running the world-famous 26.2 mile course on April 23 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
CRY was formed in 1995 and works to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death by developing heart screening programmes and funding medical research.
Mrs Sneezum has run the London Marathon eight times since 2005 but this is the first time she has raised money for CRY.
She is supporting the charity because she had to under go an emergency angioplasty to unblock an artery to her heart at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital 19 months ago.
Mrs Sneezum said: 'I didn't think I would be able to exercise again after that but I have been lucky.'
