An ambulance was called to Norwich Airport today after a passenger was taken ill on a flight.
The incident occured this afternoon on an inbound flight from Alicante in Spain.
A Norwich Airport spokesman said: 'Norwich Airport can confirm that a passenger on an inbound flight from Alicante to Norwich experienced a medical issue.
'The captain requested an ambulance to meet the flight on arrival. This request was relayed via a 999 call.'
The airport spokesman said the passenger was treated by ambulance staff at the scene and then taken to hospital.
