We are excited to announce the launch of the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025 – a unique opportunity to celebrate the efforts of organisations and industries striving to create a greener, more sustainable environment.
Over the past five years, our sister publication, Insight Energy, has been actively supporting the energy sector, establishing a unique and expanding network.
Alongside this, our Clean & Green project has been running for 18 months and has played a key role in educating the local community about energy initiatives and their benefits to East Anglia.
Together, Insight Energy and the Clean & Green project have evolved to create the first-ever East Anglia Clean & Green Awards, which form part of a wider initiative backed by leading regional publications including the Eastern Daily Press, East Anglian Daily Times, The Hunts Post and Ely Standard.
Together, we are committed to promoting environmental awareness and celebrating the efforts of those working to create a more sustainable future.
The 12 categories ensure there is recognition for a wide variety of sustainability efforts.
The awards are open to organisations of all sizes and sectors, from large corporations to small community groups, each of which play a vital role in the sustainability journey.
Whether you are a charity spearheading a recycling initiative, a tech company developing green solutions, or a community group leading local environmental projects, this is your chance to shine.
The East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025 will not only celebrate success, but also provide a forum for sharing best practices and inspiring future initiatives across the region.
Entries will remain open until Sunday, December 15 at midnight, and we encourage all eligible businesses and groups to participate.
The awards process is simple. Submit your application via the website, after which it goes through a two-stage judging process. Round one sees entries shortlisted based on the application, and round two involves a meeting with the category judges to select the four finalists.
Following the judging, we will announce the finalists, who will be invited to attend a celebratory event in March 2025 where the winners will be announced.
The recognition that comes with being shortlisted or winning is invaluable. With coverage in print, online and through our social media platforms, the awards provide visibility for your organisation while also reinforcing your commitment to a greener future.
We would like to extend our thanks to all our sponsors for their support of the East Anglia Clean & Green Awards 2025.
Without our headline sponsor University of East Anglia (UEA), category sponsors National Grid, Associated British Ports (ABP), East Coast Energy Training Academy, Ørsted – Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm, Indigo Swan and Stowen Group, and arrival drinks sponsor Clarksons, we would not be able to host these awards.
“UEA is delighted to be the headline sponsor of the inaugural East Anglia Clean & Green Awards,” said professor Julian Blow, pro-vice chancellor for research and innovation at UEA.
“The university has been at the forefront of climate and environmental science research for over 55 years, and these awards share UEA’s ethos of collaboration and innovation to find solutions to some of the world’s most complex environmental and social challenges caused by climate change.”
Submit your entry today at cleanandgreenawards.co.uk and be part of the Clean & Green movement.
