Photos from the scene of a major field fire have emerged.
Fire crews raced to a field in Hackford, near Hingham, at around 2.45pm on Tuesday following reports that 50 acres of stubble and a combine harvester had caught light.
Appliances from Hingham, Dereham, Wymondham, Watton, Hethersett, Earlham, Carrow and Sprowston were called out.
The firefighters used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the flames until receiving their stop message at 3.44pm.
Police also attended and closed the B1108 Hingham Road as well as evacuating a nearby property.
The fire service has now shared some images from the scene which show wild flames and thick plumes of smoke rising to the sky and spreading across the field.
One of them features a group of firefighters walking across the ashy crops with a hose once it was under control.
A spokesman from the service said: "We would like to thank the farmers for their work in helping to stop the fire spreading and our crews who worked hard in difficult conditions.
"If you see a fire in the open, please call 999 as soon as possible."
