A restaurant in Norwich has closed its doors for four weeks while it undergoes a botanical-themed makeover.

The Giggling Squid branch in Tombland is closed until June 11 to allow teams to carry out the "unique" refurbishment.

A spokesman for the business said: "It's time for our Norwich Giggling Squid to have a makeover so we're closing our doors from Monday, May 13, until Tuesday, June 11, 5pm.

"We're already excited to re-open and share our unique botanical décor, showpiece 'bird cages' for special meals and cosy green banquettes - perfect for sharing lots of delicious dishes with your fave people."

The chain was founded by husband-and-wife team Pranee and Andy Laurillard in 2008.

The Norwich branch opened its doors in the former La Tasca premises in 2016 and was its 17th nationwide.

Tables are available to book now for the grand opening on June 11.
