Investigations are continuing into how a woman and a child fell from a moving car near Norwich more than a year ago.

A woman in her 30s and a child fell from a blue Volvo V40 on the A1067 Fakenham Road, opposite the Shell petrol station in Taverham.

The woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with life-changing injuries following the incident, which happened at about 9.54pm on Friday, April 21 2023.

She was discharged three weeks later.

The child, who had been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with minor injuries, was released from hospital in the days following the incident.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said that enquiries into the incident were "continuing".

Police would still like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam footage.

Officers are particularly keen to identify a woman who was driving a white BMW 1 Series and stopped to help those involved but was not there when police arrived.

Those with information should contact DS Richard Dickinson at Swaffham police station quoting NC-21042023-544.
