The very best of Norfolk’s education sector were recognised on Thursday night at the inaugural Eastern Daily Press Norfolk Education Awards 2023.
From Teacher of the Year to Outstanding Commitment to STEM, the Norfolk Education Awards were a chance to celebrate our county’s dedicated education sector and give the teams, individuals and students the recognition they so rightfully deserve.
The awards were held at Barnham Broom Hotel on Thursday, October 12 and winners were recognised across 12 categories encompassing the entirety of the sector - see the full list below.
“In its inaugural year, the aim of these awards is to shine the spotlight on the incredible commitment and passion shown throughout Norfolk’s education sector,” said Richard Porritt, editor of the Eastern Daily Press.
“It’s been a difficult few years, but our outstanding schools and their staff have persevered, keeping the wellbeing and education of Norfolk’s young people at the forefront of their day-to-day operations.
“It’s been an honour to get to meet and celebrate so many inspiring staff, students and schools from across the county at this year’s awards, and we look forward to seeing new and returning faces next year.”
These awards couldn’t take place without the support of our headline sponsor Step Teachers and all of our category sponsors, and we are hugely grateful to them.
Kim Shellock, regional manager for Step Teachers, said: “Our team enjoyed a memorable evening as we celebrated alongside the exceptional finalists and winners during the first Education Awards in Norfolk.
“Step Teachers felt a deep sense of pride in sponsoring these awards, allowing us to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of educators and students alike in our county.
“Being part of this event reinforced our commitment to supporting and encouraging the continuous growth and excellence within the education sector. “
