Part of the A11 is shutting for four weeks as part of ongoing roadworks.
National Highways are carrying out drainage and CCTV survey work.
It is part of the work to reconstruct the A11 as a modern road as opposed to an old-style concrete road.
The road will close northbound between Attleborough and Thickthorn from July 10 to 14 and July 17 to 21.
The road will close southbound between Attleborough and Thickthorn from July 24 and 28 and July 31 to August 4.
All closures will take place between 8pm to 6am.
A diversion route has been planned using the A140 Ipswich Road and the A1066 between Diss and Thetford to rejoin the A11.
National Highways has apologised for the disruption this work may cause and has encouraged drivers to plan ahead and allow extra time when travelling.
Additional closures on the road in August are yet to be announced.
