A town centre pub has applied to spruce up its garden to create more outdoor space.
Adam Amiras Ltd wants to install planters and a wooden canopy at the Duke's Steakhouse in Wisbech.
It has also applied to Fenland council for planning permission for a 2m-high fence along the area, on Church Terrace and a new door to access it.
A planning statement says: "The proposal intends to provide a secure pub garden and provide a roof over parts of the garden for use all year round.

"The proposed development is intended to provide more external space to the pub, thus, enlarging the local pub’s facilities.
"Therefore, the proposed development will enhance the existing pub and support a local business."
Planning papers say the pub, known as the Duke's Steakhouse, dates back to the 17th Century.
A heritage statement adds: "The proposal seeks a lightweight development that creates little intrusive development to the listed building and character of the area.
"On balance, it is considered that the public benefit of having the facilities and intervention positively outweighs impact."
