High Performance at Norwich Theatre
Review by Kerri Clarke
Accurately advertised by Norwich Theatre as a "dynamic and impactful" event, High Performance Live was well worth seeing.
Jake Humphrey and Professor Damian Hughes were authentic in their presentations, bringing the theme of high performance to the table.
Video clips of previous podcast guests were shared to support their live conversation, along with visual quotes that the audience were invited to photograph for later reference.
Guest speaker, Owen O’Kane brought humour and clarity to the stage as he shared his own experiences and knowledge about mindset giving away useful, actionable tips.
The musical talents of Kye Sones were showcased alongside his story of triumph following many setbacks.
And an on-stage interview with Megan Smith, who spoke about facing her daily battles with cancer whilst maintaining her position as a female football coach was an eye opener. Audience participation was actively encouraged as football shaped microphones were hilariously thrown around the auditorium.
So many different elements were raised throughout the evening allowing everyone to have something to think about on their way home.
