An east Suffolk woman who was found in possession of more than 60g of cannabis and £2,000 in cash when police raided her flat has been given a suspended prison sentence.

As well as the cannabis and cash police found four mobile phones in the property, including a black Nokia "burner" phone which was found to contain messages relating to cannabis dealing, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

An examination of Sharna Head’s bank accounts between January 2021 and her arrest in April 2022 showed unexplained credits of £23,000, said Hannah Gladwell, prosecuting.

Head, 31, of Marine Rise, Lowestoft, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis and was given a six month prison sentence suspended for 18 months, a 30 day rehabilitation activity requirement and a six month trail monitoring requirement.

She was also made the subject of a 12 month mental health treatment requirement.

Marc Brown, for Head, said she had turned her life around since her arrest and was addressing her use of drugs.
