A couple who have run a north Norfolk pub for the last seven years have announced that they are leaving the business.

Ben and Sarah Handley took on the lease at The Hunworth Bell, near Holt, in summer 2017, with the building owned by the Stody Estate.

It quickly gained a strong reputation, including being named the runner-up in the GQ Food and Drink Awards 2018 for 'Best Pub in the UK'.

Mrs Handley said: "We have had an incredible time here in Hunworth, meeting so many amazing people who will be friends for life.

"Our local community has supported us throughout our tenure and we have been honoured to work with the most amazing team.

“We are keen to go out on a high - the kitchen team has produced a superb menu of seasonal local produce and we have several live music events throughout May."
